Difference Between Unpublishing and Deleting
Unpublish
- Effect: The website will no longer be publicly visible. Visitors will see a "Website is offline" message.
- Reversibility: Can be republished at any time without reconfiguring.
- Content Retention: All edited content, settings, and domain bindings are retained.
- Use Cases: Temporarily hide the site, during adjustments, after seasonal events.
Delete
- Effect: Removes the website and all associated data, including edited content, settings, short URLs, etc.
- Reversibility: Cannot be undone. Please confirm carefully before deleting.
- Use Cases: When you are sure you no longer need the website, after testing projects, to clean up your account.
How to Perform Actions
- Unpublish: Click "Unpublish" in the editor or publishing settings.
- Delete: Select "Delete Website" from the "Settings" or website management area. You will be prompted to enter confirmation text before execution.
